Veteran Grammy Award-winning DJ and trance legend, Paul Van Dyk, is coming to
Pontiac’s Elektricity this Friday night, November 8, to debut material from his
upcoming album Politics of Dancing 3.
Politics of Dancing 3 will feature Van
Dyk’s current single and collaboration with Christian Burns “We Are Tonight” among other brand new material. Van Dyk was named the world’s number 1 DJ by DJ Magazine for two consecutive years,
a feat that very few DJ’s can claim. Van Dyke has remained a major force in electronic music, his radio show VONYC Sessions has been
heard on iHeartRadio’s Trancid Channel, Sirius, and
over 50 stations worldwide.
On Evolution, Paul Van Dyk's last studio album, he collaborated with Arty, Owl City, and Plumb. When it comes to career longevity, Van Dyke has held a spot on DJ Magazines Top 100 DJ's since 1998. As a remixer, he's remixed the likes of the biggest and best including Depeche Mode, Justin Timberlake, Linkin Park, Madonna, and Britney Spears. Van Dyke continues to modernize and evolve his style to change with the times. While he initially wore the title of trance DJ, he now considers himself to be an EDM (Electronic Dance Music) DJ. Van Dyke toured the US in 2012 as part of the second installment of the Identity Festival with the likes of EDM heavy-hitters Hardwell, Eric Prydz, Madeon, Nero, Wolfgang Gartner and Porter Robinson.
